Mostly because there is a limit to each type of resource production building, so the possibilities to specialize are limited.

In Guns of Glory this is not applicable, at least not to the full extend. With Hyper Farming every player in an Alliance sets up his main to produce one specific resource, focusses buildings, research, commander skill points, gear as much as possible on that resource. In some other games Hyper Farming is an alternative approach to tackle the resource problem. Building one or more farm accounts can help you. Even if you have 5 marches gathering most of the day and many resource buildings all maxed out, with many gathering and production boosts, it still takes a very long time to fill the requiremenst for building upgrades and research projects. You will find that the resource gathering and production of your main account is quite limited. This is a good idea anyway, you do not want to lose the account you have invested time and money in just because your device gets corrupted, but essential for being able to set up other accounts on the same device. Better not use facebook to bind, I got a lot of problems with it and lost several accounts. Important: If you want to use the same device for multiple accounts, make sure that you have bound your game in the Settings - Account menu.
