But even if you put a gun to my head i doubt that i could tell you the difference between "Rock", "Classic Rock", and "Blues Based Rock". Don't get me wrong, i've loved rock, metal, and punk since 1979.

I could even forgive them lumping all of House, Techno, Hardcore, Gabba, D'n'B, Jungle, Breakcore, Ambient, Dubstep, Trip-Hop, etc, etc under one label, if only they didn't then have FOUR separate presets for Rock and Metal!. I can more than understand it not being practical to accommodate every single sub-genre and cross pollination of styles. Apart from (curiously enough) one preset for electro, the entire rest of the last thirty years of global music revolution is summed up in one "dance music" preset. It looks like you HAVE to choose a template. So far, i have not figured out how just start with a blank project. There are something like 8 or 10 templates to choose from.

#Cubase 11 review install
But when you do install and boot up, then prepare to cringe. When i saw how nothing had changed i cancelled V12 mid-download and just wrote the expense off to experience. But in the case of Cubase, then you need a computer just for that one program and it's peripherals! A computer that you can't even use for any other music programs, because Cubase hogs the entire thing!!. Many people will tell you that if you want to produce music, then (where possible) you should have one computer that you just use for your music programs, and then never use that one machine for anything else. It is every bit as overly complex and troublesome as the previous version. We were told that version 12 would be far less complicated to purchase, register, own, and install than version 11. So first off, there is how difficult they make it to just have Cubase. I now can't remember the last time i saw it anywhere else. There was a time when every studio i knew ran on Cubase.
